These are vital for ensuring greater awareness, shared understanding, and collective action across the whole of Mars. And the network's getting bigger all the time.
We equip our Talent leaders with data to ensure fairness
We empower our P&O Associates (People & Organisation) and Line Managers with exercises, trends and data so that conversations, interviews and internal reviews are unbiased and inclusive. It is incredibly important to us that we have the right discussions with our Associates, and the new people we attract to Mars.

Our campaign to support working mothers helped to normalize conversations around maternal mental health. We also offer support with mental health, resilience, parenting, and relationships through our Associate Assistance Programe (AAP).
Women leaders
41% of Mars leaders are women and we’ve advanced the number of gender-balanced leadership teams from 43% to 50% over the past year. We’ve expanded leadership development training for women across our regions and functions, based on our flagship “Women Leading Purposefully” course designed with Harvard University.
We’ve recently launched a pilot program, “Advancing Female Leaders,” and are placing a dedicated focus on functions that have under representation of women, including Supply and IT.

Our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally Associates form this group. They encourage everyone to feel accepted and appreciated for who they are as individuals.
Women of Mars (WOM)
We inspire and support women in the pursuit of their personal and professional goals. The group also provides learning and networking opportunities and highlights the women leaders in our business.
RC Black Advisory Council
This group shares knowledge and drives cultural awareness of Black Experiences. The council encourages recruitment, development, retention, and advancement of Black Talent.
Dog Tags
This networking group is open to all Associates in support of veterans and military families. The group aims to celebrate the strength of our veterans, provide them a welcoming environment and assist with their onboarding process.
Unify
This group helps us promote an inclusive environment by celebrating our differences and promoting cultural diversity to make Mars an even better place to work.
Women in Engineering (WE)
WE are an inclusive & diverse community that is a catalyst for cultural change through empowering and developing engineering curious women for a better tomorrow for all.
